Students still prefer Traditional Ang Pao over Digital Ang Pao!

Han Chiang College students voted for traditional Ang Pao over digital Ang Pao which was introduced by MayBank2u last year.
80% of survey respondents from Han Chiang Unversity College students still prefer traditional Ang Pao.
Adam Foo, a 20-year-old student from Bachelor of Communication (New Media) says he prefers Traditional Ang Pao " I like the feeling of receiving Ang Pao on my hand. I always fascinated by the beautiful designs of Ang Pao. Besides, I receive Traditional Ang Pao since young, I am used to it and I am a very conservative person".
Student Pean Wei said "Chinese New Year is all about the close interaction with people. Digital Ang Pao kills the true meaning of this festival".
Despite the majority preference towards Traditional Ang Pao, 19-year-old student, Chin Shun Ping prefers Digital Ang Pao as he thinks that Digital Ang Pao is more convenient since he does not have to do the bank-in job and he is happy that he can get Digital Ang Pao from relatives who is living far away from him.
There is another type of people, who likes both ways like Lisa Ng. "Any way, is still money!" she exclaimed.
Apart from people who receive Ang Pao, those who give also prefer the traditional way.
From Cheah's perspective who is married, said that giving out the traditional angcpao in person is important because face to face interaction allows more intimate relationships with each other.
Despite this digitalised era in which people prefer convenience in their life, What's The Feed found out that students still prefer to celebrate Chinese New Year in the traditional and conservative way.
